Muslim Ummah In a State of Confusion PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 12 November 2010
"O you, who believe! Fear Allah (swt) as HE (swt) should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam. And hold fast all of you together to the rope of Allah (swt) and be not divided amongst yourselves." (Ali-Imran 3:101-102)

On the day Eid-ul-Adha we will notice that the Muslims in the different places of the world will celebrate Eid on different days. Some will celebrate on Tuesday and some are going to be celebrating on Wednesday or may be on Thursday?

According to the hadith of the Prophet (saw) the next day of Arafat is the day that we should celebrate Eid. Bukhari, 5/17, Abu Dawood: Manasik 71... Muslim: Kitaab Eidein ..... All of them refer to the day of 10th of Zulhijjah as the Day of Eid-ul-Adha. However the hadith which is narrated by Ibn Majah V2 Kitaab As-Siyaam, Chapter 9 Hadith No. 1659 Subject of: The two days of Eid: Hadathana Muhammad Bin Omar Al-Muqri, Hadathana Ishaq Bin I'ssa Hadathana Hammad Bin Zaid from Ayoub from Muhammad Bin Sireen from Abu Hureirah (ra) said: The Messenger (saw) said: "(Eid) Al-Fitr is the day you break your fast and (Eid) Al-Adha is the Day you Slaughter."

Some will celebrate Eid on the 16 of November and some on the 17th or 18th of  November instead of celebrating as one united Ummah and even within the USA Muslims will probably celebrate on two different days. These differences show there is something missing and that there most definitely is a problem when we Muslims cannot agree on when to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on ONE universal day worldwide when in fact it is possible to determine it TEN days ahead. Though we repeatedly claim that we are all Muslims, with one Aqeedah and are one brotherhood, why are there then these differences existing amongst Muslims in different parts of the world?

The Lesson From the Life of Ibraheem(as) ‘s Struggle. PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 06 November 2010

Verily Allah (SWT) sent the Messenger Muhammad (saw) as a Rahmah-mercy for Mankind. Through him Allah (SWT) revealed the Qur’an, which contains many lessons for us in the narratives of the previous Messengers. The struggle of Ibraheem (as) against the tyrant of his time, Nimrod, is not dissimilar to the situation in which the Muslims find themselves in after the 11th September 2001. Ibraheem (as)’s life is also significant to this time of year when millions of Muslims make the annual Hajj-pilgrimage to Makkah. We hope to reflect on some of the lessons below insh'Allah.

Most Commonly Used Arguments to Justify Voting in American Elections(SHIRK) PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 28 October 2010

1. The participation of Prophet Yusuf, upon whom be peace, as a minister in the Government of the King of Egypt

Allah, the Most High, said:

“And the king said: “Bring him to me that I may attach him to my person.” Then, when he spoke to him, he said: “Verily, this day, you are with us high in rank and fully trusted.” [Yusuf] said: “Set me over the storehouses of the land; I will indeed guard them with full knowledge.” Thus did We give full authority to Yusuf in the land, to take possession therein, as when or where he likes.” 20

Fatwa on Voting PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 28 October 2010
In order to be able to answer the urgent question of participating in the American Elections and voting for candidates who want to participate in congress or Senate we must understand the reality, for the Juristic principle states part of Judging a matter is comprehending it or understanding its reality. Therefore we must understand the reality of two things:
1- The American Congress and Senate where some candidates want to participate in and
2- The election which the people want to be involved in i.e. voting.

Mothers: Producers of Heroes (An excerpt from one of the books of Sheikhuna Abdullah Azzam R.A) PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 09 September 2010

“…Mothers play a great role in building a generation. The better a mother is at raising her children, the more successfully the Ummah is built and the more successful it is at producing heroes. You hardly ever see a great man except that a great woman is behind him who left some of her traits in his personality by way of the milk from which he was fed and the warm embrace in which he sought refuge.

Most men find it hard to remove these shining images from their minds that they retain of their mothers. These outstanding images that ran through his veins from a young age remain engraved in his mind, and he cannot help but to remember them with veneration and pride. He recalls the simple, clear words that his mother left his spirit with, and these words grow to become milestones on his path and guiding lights on his quest.

“The four great powers are committed to Zionism, and Zionism be it right or wrong, good or bad, is rooted in age-long tradition, in present needs, in future hopes, of far profounder import than the desire and prejudices of the 700,000 Arabs who now inhabit that ancient land”
