Trusting Allah

There are many Mubashiraat (i.e. good news) of victories from Allah (swt) but there is also much bad news nowadays, such as the decline among the Muslims etc. There are many traditions of Allah (Sunnah Rabbaaniyyah) and one of them if the conflict between Haq and Batil. If there is no falsehood there will consequently no battle, hence there will always be struggle between ahl ul Haq and ahl ul Batil, this is Sunnatullah and the Sunnah of Allah is not subject to change. But many Muslims have a problem with their belief, because they no longer have confidence in Allah (swt). Hence we must fulfil the conditions of Imaan and Tawheed by studying the promises of Allah (swt) from the Qur'an and Sunnah of the Messenger Muhammad (saw).

Tawheed Calls for Action

From the moment the Qur‘an was revealed to Muhammad (s.a.w.) he started to call to the way of Allah (SWT), people started to come to him, to listen, and become his companions. They believed in the Tawheed of Islam, their belief (Imaan) was strong and pure and it was this Tawheed that changed them to become the best of mankind, with the best in thought, knowledge and continuous action. Armed with their Tawheed they started to struggle with Jahiliyyah (ignorance), it was an intellectual and political struggle. Though they were only few in number, they were strong, solid, and uncompromising, until Allah (SWT) gave them victory and the State was established in Madinah. At that time they turned to new actions, they invited other nations and countries to Islam and spread Islam. Whole countries were opened to Islam until most of the Earth came under Islamic authority.

The Preventions of Making Takfeer

Be aware my dear Muslim Brothers and sisters, at-takfeer (declaring a person to be non-Muslim) is one of the most dangerous Ahkaam, but it is also one of the greatest because of its implications and effects. It makes the blood and wealth of a Muslim permissible, his wife no longer halaal for him, dismantles any form of inheritance from his blood relations and not to mention being belittled, boycotted and humiliated by Muslims due to his apostasy. This is why the messenger Muhammad (saw) conveyed divine rules warning us from declaring takfeer upon Muslims quickly and in a hurry, without to study and look deeply at the reality of a person; for the saying of Muhammad (saw) reported in Bukhari states: “Whosoever calls a Muslim kaafir, it is as if he killed him.”

Branches of Kufr

Definition of Kufr
Kufr means to cover something up; hence the farmer is kaafir because he covers up with the seed (bizra). The proof for this is where Allah says in the Qur’aan: “…like the example of crops, it is for those Zurrah impressed with the fruit which come out…” (EMQ Al-Hadeed, 57: 20)

Judging Kufr & Eeman by What is Aparent

How do we judge if someone is kafir? Can we judge someone's heart, to see if he is kafir? Is that possible? If we look to the example of someone who comes and says Assalamu 'Alaikum to us, we would undoubtedly say that he is Muslim. Do we need to check his heart? No, we know his Islam from his sayings and his actions. We do not need to check his heart, so why if someone's sayings and actions are kufr, should we need to check his heart? Rather when we see someone who is clearly in kufr and Shirk, or we see people competing with Allah (swt), i.e. that they are Taghout, there is no need for us to check his heart, we must make Takfeer on him - that is the Haqq of Allah (swt). We have a principle in Islam, that:
"We consider only the apparent in regards to Imaan and kufr, we do not consider that which is concealed."

Prevention of al-Hidayaah

Two of the greatest blessings Allah can bestow upon a servant are guidance (Al-Huda) and mercy (Rahma) and what opposes them is misguidance (Ad-Dalal) and anger (Ghadab). Allah (swt) orders us to ask him every day and night to guide us to the path of those whom he is pleased with and those whom he has blessed: the people of guidance and rahma, and to say: 'Save us from the path of those whom you are angry with and save and those who are misguided.' This du'aa is considered the most jaami' (comprehensive) and maani' (restricted) du'aa. It is also the most virtuous and obligatory supplication, to the level where the servant is needy to ask Allah to guide him to the right path (those whom he is pleased with and not angry with) 17 times a day as an obligation.
