“The Best Jihad is to Say the Truth in Front of the Oppressive Ruler1” King Abdullah’s recent comments, calling the American Dajjal Army in Iraq an “illegitimate foreign occupation2,” may come across to many Muslims as a breath of fresh air. Could it be that after seventy-plus years of supporting American, capitalist interests the House of Saud actually wants to stand up and separate itself from the imperialist beast? The shadows on the wall seem to confirm speculation but upon analysis one sees very clearly the political intention of King Abdullah’s statements. The House of Saud is one of the most dangerous institutions presently at war against Islam. Islamic voices across the globe should call for the dismemberment of the authoritarian regime, the expulsion from positions of authority for all individuals that protect them, and the subsequent reimplementation of the actual shariah thru means of reestablishing a caliphate across Islamic lands. |

No one knows who killed former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri. We do know, however, that the main witness cited in the UN report, Zuhir Mohamed Said Saddik, "has been convicted of embezzlement and fraud among other crimes" (Der Spiegel) which casts grave doubt on the credibility of his testimony.

As crisis talks are due to start regarding Turkey joining the EU opinion polls from across Europe show a clear opposition to full Turkish membership. In a poll by Sky News over 70% voted no to the question should Turkey be allowed to join the EU? This signals the overwhelming feeling in Europe that Turkey which has a majority Muslim population should not be allowed to join the EU which until now has been made up of only majority Christian populations. In a similar poll carried out in France in 2004 in which the majority of people opposed Turkey joining the EU, 30% of participants objected on the basis of cultural differences. |
