We, the Muslims of Islamic Thinkers Society condemn the arrests of the sincere Muslim Da’ees(activists) in UK. We condemn the house raids of Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, Anjem Choudary(Ex-Leader of Al-Muhajiroun UK), Abdel Rahman Saleem(Muslim Youth Organisation), Umran Javed(Followers of Ahl Us Sunnah Wal Jama'ah), Abdul Muhid(Al-Ghurabaa), and Omar Zaheer(Muslims in the UK). The raids, which violated the honor of the women of the household when the police entered at 2am is something we will not tolerate and stay silent about.

Actions such as these make it clear to everyone and especially to the ignorant; deaf-dumb-blind Muslims that this is a war against Islam and Muslims. While the enemies of Islam are launching one of the biggest air strikes in Iraq today, the world stays silent as if it’s something normal, YET when a few sincere Muslims such as the ones arrested who are sacrificing their lives, wealth, time to expose this war on Islam, gets arrested and their houses raided, their women’s honor taken away, we do nothing to condemn it. SILENCE IS ACCEPTANCE.

These actions done by the British government shows their desperate measures to act as the police of the world who is out to stop terrorism, yet their sons and daughters are the ones committing the biggest terrorism in Iraq.

'…they [the disbelievers] wish you to suffer and to see you in pain. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths but what is in their hearts is far worse…' [EMQ 3:118]

This struggle is sure an ideological one: Between the truth(Islam) and falsehood(Freedom & Democracy). These actions are trying to show the superiority of their way of life over Islam.

'…they [the disbelievers] will continue to fight you until they turn you away from your Deen [religion]…' [EMQ 2:217]

A message to the Muslims particularly in UK:

Ask yourself which side do you take? Which side have you already passively taken? Surely by you Staying Silent about these raids and arrests, you have already taken the side of the enemies of Islam as this is how Allah(swt) looks at it. Where is the outrage for the sake of Allah and your fellow brethren? Where are the Muslim organizations such as MCB, ICNA, CAIR, who are so haste to stand up for one kafir who becomes a hostage to the Mujahideen, YET stay silent and does not do a single thing about it when their fellow brothers are arrested or their honor is violated, for standing for the truth and presenting it in an uncompromising manner just like the messenger of Allah?

Were not these brothers standing up for justice?
Were they not defending the honor of the prophet with full sincerity?
Were not these brothers standing up against tyranny when you were weak to speak because you fear loss of the dunya?
Were not these brothers equipping the youth with the mentality of the sahabas?
Were not these brothers who sacrificed their whole lives in the service of Islam while you were busy making provisions for your families?
Were not these brothers standing up and speaking out for YOUR BROTHERS, YOUR SISTERS, YOUR FAMILIES back at home who are being raped, tortured & murdered?
Were not these brothers speaking out for you on the abuse of the Muslims in Belmarsh?
Were not these brothers speaking out for you on the abuse of the Muslims in Abu Ghraib?

Were not these brothers your voice when you were afraid to speak, see or hear?

By your silence in these raids and arrests, you have abandoned your brothers in Islam.
Muhammad s.a.w: “The Muslim is the brother of his fellow Muslim. So, he should never oppress him or hand him over (to his enemies) or forsake him (in times of difficulty)".(Muslim)

How have we fulfilled this Hadith? Ask yourself?

Indeed, these brothers have fulfilled their obligations towards their society where they live, for they gave da’wah, commanded good, forbade the evil, revived the forgotten obligations, removed the sins from their necks, and made the Muslims & non-Muslims conscious of their duty to Allah(swt) (through so-called Freedom Of Speech) As Allah s.w.t. says:

“You [true believers in Islāmic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islāmic Monotheism and all that Islām has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islām has forbidden), and you believe in Allāh.” [EMQ 3:110]

“And when a community among them said: "Why do you preach to a people whom Allāh is about to destroy or to punish with a severe torment?" (The preachers) said: "In order to be free from guilt before your Lord (Allāh), and perhaps they may fear Allāh." (Al-A'raf 7:164)

They have fulfilled their duty towards Allah, HAVE YOU?

Indeed it is the example of previous nations and Messengers to be persecuted, vilified and even killed for speaking the truth. However, regardless of the consequences it is the obligation of every Muslim to speak the haq (truth) wherever they are and not to fear anyone but Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) is the best of protectors. We supplicate to Allah (SWT) to release all the Muslims from captivity, and the 'izzah (honor and dignity) is with Islam and the Muslims!

The Prophet (saw) said: "It is expected that the nations will call each other from all horizons, as diners calling each other to feast from a platter of food in front of them." A person asked the Prophet (saw) would that be because of our small number that day. The Prophet (saw) said, "No, but you will be rubbish like the rubbish of flood water. Allah will put Wahn into your hearts and remove the fear from the hearts of your enemies because of your love for the world and your hate of death". In another narration it was said: "and what is the Wahn, O messenger of Allah?" He (saw) said: "love of the world and the hate for fighting."Narrated by Ahmad with a good chain. Narrated by Abu Daud with the words "hate for death", and it is a sahih hadith.
